The Dukan Diet

Fad diet or onto something?

Well, I have to say over a number of years of both using various formulaic eating plans and seeing other people do the same there are just two obvious and basic truths –

1. The only way to loose weight is to eat less than you burn and different diet regimes suit different people. I for one prefer the type of routine that is about what you can eat or not that suppresses appetite (for example Dukan, Atkins) rather than those that control amounts of food.

2. That the food companies spend million of dollars discrediting anything that works in favour of their ‘branded’ low fat, 0% whatever’s to keep you hooked on their profit targets.

I started the Dukan diet on 1st November 2011 at a start weight of 16st 11lb or 235lbs and have lost 40lbs to date. So, I can say that it clearly works. 4lbs to go, will up date on what works and tactics to succeed in further posts as well as the exercise regime now in progress.
