Maybe a little presumptuous I know, that the first plugin I put in is an anti spam plug in! However, I think one of the reluctant bloggers issues is dealing with the morass of spam that is the annoying background noise of the web. <\/p>\n

Akismet <\/a>comes well recommended and is easy to add as a plugin. Simply register on the akismet.com site and make sure that you slide the ‘what it is worth to you’ to zero. I didn’t really want to pay anything in the short term. They send a key via email and it is simple to add into the dashboard.<\/p>\n
